the second print issue of corduroy mtn.

The Greying Ghost simply has some of the best looking chapbooks around, and this collection is sure to be beautiful. A classy, satisfying, one of a kind, must have, when it comes out sometime this fall. I can't wait to get it in my hands, and read all of the words.

I'm very happy to have a part of GOSSAMER included in the issue, it's one of my favorite scenes. David Peak was kind enough to mention GOSSAMER on his blog today, calling it a "Sparkling new novella." I e-mailed him an early, yet large part of the ms about a month back. That made me feel happy, thanks David. I've been working on the back half of the novella a lot; today I went though thirty pages: editing, shaping, birthing, fixing, and cutting. I think it's turning out nicely, molding into light, and deep, dreamy dreams.

I'm a little late on this, but I want to spread the word.

Taken from Shya Sconlon's website:
-
On July 16th, 2009, I began serializing my novel FORECAST (read a blurb; watch a promo) semiweekly (Mondays and Thursdays) across 42 web journals and blogs.

-
The series is on the seventh chapter of forty-two, so it's still early going. Visit Shya's website for the complete listing of links to all the sites that are publishing a chapter. Cool stuff.

I've been submitting excerpts from my novella GOSSAMER, and I'm really pleased, thrilled, and thankful for how well it's been received.
I received the list of books we'll be reading in the contemporary fiction craft course I'm taking next semester:

Junichiro Tanizaki: The Key & Diary of a Mad Old Man

David Peak has a new poetry ebook called The Dead Space of April published by Pangur Ban Party. Give it a look.
J.A Tyler is a nice guy so checkout what he's doing with his novella THE ZOO, A GOING

This is a re-post from J.A. Tyler's blog from 7/26/09:

THE ZOO, A GOING & free free reading I have been inspired by stephen elliott, shya scanlon, & others letting folks read their full manuscripts, books, etc. for free, for the love of lit, because in the end I think we are all just looking for readers.

so in that spirit, THE ZOO, A GOING, my recently completed novel(la), will be posted at this new blog, one piece at a time, each piece up for only 24 hrs. & then deleted. just follow the blog & read one a day, like taking a vitamin. a chalky delicious fruity flavored flintstones vitamin.

I will post the entire novel(la) from a-z starting in a week or two: 76 pieces total, 76 days of reading. so spread the word, get people on board, the reading is about to begin. hope you enjoy.
