I made a list of things in 2009. Here is my 2010 list.

(Some) Books:

Eugene Marten, Firework. I had the pleasure of chatting with Eugene at a reading in Atlanta. If you get a chance to see him read, do it. His delivery is as deadly as his sentences.

Richard Kadrey, Sandman Slim.

William Gibson, Spook Country.

Amanda Goldblatt, Catalpa. Amanda edits Super Arrow. I like Amanda.

Peter Markus, The Singing Fish and Good, Brother.

Matt Bell, Wolf Parts. It's sold out but you can download the audio book for free here.

Dennis Cooper, Ugly Man: Stories.

Shane Jones, the failure six. This is my favorite Shane Jones book.

Justin Taylor, Everything here is the best thing ever. I'm not a huge fan of story collections but this one is great. Looking forward to whatever Justin does next.

Zachary Schomburg, Scary, No scary. One of my favorite collections of poetry, it will not let you down.

Patrik Ourednik, Europeana.

Europeana is amazing. Ourednik has another English translation book coming out via Dalkey in 2011, about a 19th century utopian colony in Brazil...which sounds exactly like my sort of thing. It's called _The Opportune Moment, 1855_ and is supposed to come out next spring.
