down of the humble boy

titular-journal is doing really unique good things. They've recently started/published a new project which currently features stories by the incredible Jimmy Chen and Christopher Higgs here.
...I have a story there too.
The collaborative project is just starting up, so send them your stories, you'll feel better when you do.

Also, completely unrelated but still important:
A (new) chapbook called 'Pocket Finger' by Ryan Call and Christy Call is available at publishing genius here, check it out.

time passes and now is other

I will listen and make sure I can hear you from where I am. With my big ears and your loud voice I will listen.

Nick Acosta has a new book 'Midnight Panic' at wordriot, check it out, I know I will when I get the funds. But I did buy his chapbook 'Rat Beast' by ML press, and that should be arriving by mail sometime soon, so when it does get here I will read it, and will probably be happy.

Books I've read recently: 'The Stranger' by Albert Camus/ 'Felix Holt, The Radical' by George Eliot/ 'The Sport of the Gods' by Paul Laurence Dunbar/ 'No Colony' by Various/ 'Pudd'nhead Wilson' by Mark Twain/ 'House of Leaves' by Mark Z. Danielewski/ 'Collected Poems' T.S Eliot/ 'Selected Poems' by W.H Auden/ Also I've been frequenting Elimae.com which I've enjoyed stories by Jimmy Chen, and Brandon Hobson.

And here is Allan Ginsberg reading his poem 'america'

...I will eat radio wire.

I received my copy of No Colony 1 today. It basically drove me to drink, not because I'm excited but because I'm afraid. You can buy here: buy it and buy some bourbon to go with it.

Also read House of Leaves by Mark Z. Danielewski, he's probably Polish so you know it's good.

getting cold

It is almost 2009 and I still don't have a jet pack and a flying car.

Sometimes I feel like the future has been robbed from us, that no matter how far we reach or how great/small of achievements we make, we'll still never reach or create the future we've been promised/expected.

I read a wonderful story today called, 'A Mark From Virginia Woolf's Wall' by Louise Norlie @ neon magazine. It reminded me of the the 'Yellow Wallpaper' so check it out.

I live in Atlanta and it is finally getting cold. I like the cold weather, I guess I should visit Chicago.

Update

It's been a while since I've posted.
I've been busy as shit. I've felt like I haven't had enough time to write lately, so I've created a new 'ritual' that I do four or five days out of the week. Essentially I'm creating time for myself. When I set my alarm for the next morning I set it two hours earlier than I need to really wake up to get to wherever it is I need to get. It's simple and I can't believe it took me this long to figure something like this out. To help stimulate creativity and most of all motive, I do two things during this time. One: I have a coffee machine that automatically starts making coffee like an alarm, so I set the machine to a couple of minuets before I want to wake. Two: I unplug my internet, I find that the net is a huge distraction.

Help mes get in eight-ten extra hours of productivity a week.
The past weeks have been hectic to say the least. This is some stuff to look at because I've been looking at it:

Oprah says 9000 penises.

Transhumanism: is an interesting little piece of sciencefiction theory.

This is a good read: the 2007 short story Hugo award winner.
